Kristen has 20+ years of teaching experience, provides a national standard for students to track their progress, encourages goal setting, and promotes well-rounded musical training.

Curriculums are specialized towards every students' individual age, interests, goals, and experience.

Kristen Scott likes to have a balanced and integrative curriculum by incorporating technical exercises, ear, and sight-reading testing, exam preparation, and also teaches a variety of genres to promote well-rounded musical training.

It is Kristen's goal to promote a lifelong love for music.

VOICE

Elementary /  Intermediate

Kristen Scott teaches human anatomy and physiology as it relates to the physical process of singing. This includes but is not limited to:

breathing and air support, posture, vocal resonation/voice projection, diction, vowels, and articulation, range extension, tone quality, and vocal health.

EXAM PREPARATION

In Person / Online

Royal Conservatory Examinations provide a national standard for students, parents, and teachers to track and measure progress and achievements. Preparing for and successfully completing an examination encourages goal-setting, promotes well-rounded musical training, builds self-confidence, and provides tools and skills for performances in the future.

During a practical examination, students will have a one-on-one assessment with a professional, program-certified examiner. 

THE HARMONIC GEMS

Harmony Group

The Harmonic Gems is a volunteer group created by Kristen Scott's vocal students only. Mostly performing during the Christmas season in community events such as parades, Christmas markets, hockey games, charities, and local vendors.
